Mental Health and Wellbeing
Network Aim: To bring colleagues together across London to discuss pan-London challenges and develop pan-London solutions and projects in the space of mental health and wellbeing. The group provides a space for sharing good practice, developing supportive inter-institutional relationships, and producing reports and projects to demonstrate what London Higher members are doing in this space, and to tackle pressing challenges in the sector.
Current Project: Finding innovative pathways to refer students into NHS secondary mental health care when required.
Membership: Heads of Wellbeing, Heads of Student Support, Heads of Student Services.
Dr Adrian Clark, Student Health & Wellbeing Manager, University of London
Adrian is the Student Health & Wellbeing Manager at the University of London and the Warden of Connaught Hall, a University of London intercollegiate hall of residence. With a background of 17 years’ medical practice and a training in emergency medicine, Adrian’s professional interests lie in human factors and crisis resource management, advancing equity in higher education, wellbeing in the LGBTQ+ community, and mindful compassion. He is a Fellow of the RSA and of the RSM.
Sally Olohan MBE, Head of Student Support and Residential Life, University of Westminster.
Sally is an expert in higher education student support and wellbeing issues, with experience in service design, policy and strategy development. She is dedicated to providing high quality, joined up and caring approaches to ensure student success, leads and manages the development of integrated services and University policies and is responsible for University strategy to promote student wellbeing and to safeguard vulnerable students.
