Darren de Souza
Public Affairs and Projects Manager
Darren leads London Higher’s work on public affairs, government relations and diplomatic engagement. He is focused on showcasing the impact of London HE via written briefings, speaking engagements and external representation. He sits on the London Anchor Institutions’ Network (LAIN) steering committee and UK Soft Power Group (UKSPG), leading the relevant policy areas alongside expertise in research and innovation. He oversees high-profile projects including the acclaimed London-wide Global Majority Mentoring Programme and London Higher Civic Map.
Darren previously worked in European research policy/public affairs in Brussels. He holds a first-class degree in History & Portuguese from the University of Leeds and is a current MSc Global Affairs student at King’s College London. He also serves as a board trustee for London Nightline.
