London Healthcare Education Group (LHEG)
Network Aim: LHEG brings together strategic leads from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) providing nursing, midwifery and applied health sciences (AHP) courses in London. Working collaboratively with our members from Health Education England (HEE) our HEI members directly influence key NHS policy decisions that affect healthcare students in the capital. LHEG’s collegiate style means that the network can support each other and work strategically to tackle complex challenges like placement capacity and responding to the pandemic.
Current Project: LHEG has developed a Placements Strategic Oversights Group (PSOG) to develop long term strategies for expanding placement capacity in London.
Membership: Deans or equivalent from schools of nursing. Midwifery or AHP. Senior leaders from HEE.
Chair: Katherine Curtis, Associate Dean External Engagement, Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care and Education, Kingston University
