Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
Network Aim: To provide a space for open and honest discourse surrounding the opportunities and challenges involved in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) work across higher education in London. The Network seeks to act as a champion of EDI work across the sector and beyond. The Network will offer an opportunity to share resources, current best practice and a forum for discussion. The network will strive to be a safe, respectful space where members can speak openly and honestly in pursuit of increased understanding and better practice.

Chair: Professor Dibyesh Anand, Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement and Employability), University of Westminster.
Dibyesh is Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor of International Relations, Head of School, an elected staff governor, and a co-chair of EDI Committee and of Black and Minority Ethnic Staff Network. A professor of international relations, he is the author of monographs “Geopolitical Exotica: Tibet in Western Imagination”, “Hindu Nationalism in India and the Politics of Fear” and several other articles and book chapters. He is the Chair Elect for International Studies Association’s LGBTQA Caucus.
Dibyesh is passionate about challenging the divide between academia and activism and believes in embedding equality, diversity and inclusion in every aspect of life. He identifies as queer in personal and political terms and is on Twitter/X @dibyeshanand.
