Corrine Bougaard

Founder of Union Dance (South Africa), London Contemporary Dance School

Corrine Bougaard, founder of Union Dance has been committed to emphasising cultural diversity in the arts. Corrine was awarded the first Arts Council England bursary for an Artistic Director of Dance and was also a recipient of the Winston Churchill Fellowship. 

Corrine was also honoured as one of the UK’s successful women for The Nelson Mandela Children’s Foundation. 

Having completed an MA in Design, Corrine has utilised her knowledge and expertise to educate nationally at Central Saint Martins, University of East London and The Urdang Academy. She has also given conference papers internationally in Miami, Shanghai and Bologna.
