Can sisters Baneatta and Beverly bury their father without killing each other? In this vibrant celebration of Black joy, grief, and healing, an extended family reunites at St. Luke’s Church to lay their patriarch to rest, only for tensions, secrets, and long-simmering conflicts to erupt. Meanwhile, in a very different corner of life, a group of graduates hustle through the chaos of a North London call centre—getting pissed, getting laid, and getting by as they chase dreams that always seem just out of reach. And as if that weren’t enough, at 8 a.m. a revolt is underway in a crumbling household where betrayal runs deep: the father is dying, the son is spying, the wife is cheating, and the family fortune hangs in the balance.

Across these intersecting worlds, stories of family, ambition, and survival collide—exploring what holds us together, what tears us apart, and who comes out on top when everything is at stake.
