Mountview, one of the UK’s leading drama schools and a specialist institution renowned for its training in musical theatre, the performing and production arts, has joined London Higher.
Mountview has trained generations of performers and theatre-makers whose work has contributed to London’s reputation as a global centre for culture and the creative industries. Its alumni have gone on to achieve success across stages and screens in London, the UK and around the world.
Situated in the heart of Peckham in southeast London, Mountview nurtures strong relationships with its local community and partners and creates opportunities for children and young people to develop skills and explore their creativity through its Generation Next programme and other outreach activity.
It is well known for its work to dismantle barriers to the arts and provides a significant proportion of students with financial support to ensure talented students can participate regardless of their circumstances.
Mountview’s membership comes as it celebrated its 80th anniversary milestone, marking eight decades of specialist training and its contribution to the arts. Mountview is looking ahead to its ambitious next chapter, with President Dame Judi Dench and Vice Presidents Dame Elaine Paige, Eddie Marsan OBE and Giles Terera MBE, and distinguished Ambassadors at the helm.
