LONDON, UK, April 29, 2024 – Bath Spa University (BSU) London’s University Centre, the London campus of the Sunday Times University of the Year for Social Inclusion 2024, has joined the Centres Network at London Higher.
True to Bath Spa’s commitment to empowering students from all backgrounds, BSUL will offer learners different routes into study, with Business & Management at the core of the courses it provides. With a strong employability focus, there is no better place for it to deliver those courses than London.
As a member of London Higher and the 16th member of the Centres Network, BSU London will be able to collaborate with its peer universities on a variety of strategic initiatives designed to enhance London’s position as a global hub of higher education and research. BSU London will connect with other universities who have London campuses and benefit from best practice sharing.
Dr Diana Beech, Chief Executive Officer, London Higher said:
“I am delighted to welcome Bath Spa University London to London Higher as it adds to the capital’s higher education provision through its new University Centre in Hackney. Established in partnership with New City College, the university centre enhances options for learners in a diverse, and often deprived part of London and provides much-needed pathways between further and higher education.
The fact that more and more institutions like BSU London are establishing a presence in the UK capital and are coming together via London Higher’s dedicated ‘Centres’ network shows just how important London is to the UK regions and also how collaborative the London higher education landscape really is.”
Lucy Arnold-Courtney, Director, University Centre said:
“Bath Spa University London is delighted to join the London Higher network and community. BSU is now installed in our new home within the University Centre partnership with New City College, with ambitions to provide flexible and innovative routes into, and through, higher education in the geographies of London and Bath”.
