  • Technical Theatre Open Day: July 8, 2026

RADA presents a dynamic programme showcasing the work of its current students, combining performance and technical training to highlight the next generation of theatre-makers.

As part of its Shakespeare for Young Audiences series, abridged productions bring classic texts to life for audiences aged 15+ and beyond. In Richard II, a king’s unravelling grip on power sets off a chain of conflict, betrayal and change, exploring leadership, responsibility, and what defines a good ruler. This powerful history play is reimagined with energy and clarity by a cast and crew of RADA students.

Alongside the performance, RADA also invites prospective students to an open day for its Technical Theatre Arts training. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Foundation Degree in Technical Theatre and Stage Management, tour facilities, meet students and staff, and gain insight into courses spanning lighting, sound, costume, scenic art, construction and production management.

Together, these experiences offer a unique window into both the creative and technical disciplines at RADA, celebrating the talent, craft and training that underpin today’s theatre, film and television industries.
