Jolanta Edwards

Director of Policy and Programmes

As Director of Policy and Programmes, Jolanta leads the execution of London Higher’s strategy, and oversees policy to influence and advocate for members. She engages with national and local government, London’s higher education institutions, and others to understand issues and look for opportunities to collaborate and promote the sector. She is also involved in the organisation’s strategy and goals and business development.

Jolanta has previously worked in the civil service, including for the Department for Education, where she was responsible for launching master’s and doctoral loans, developing policy on Disabled Student Allowances, supporting the sector wide Freedom of Speech guide and on the Prevent agenda. She also worked in the Department for Business including on the small business agenda. Prior to the civil service she worked in HSBC.
