Heidi Yu

Dance science academic (Hong Kong), Trinity Laban

Heidi Yu graduated with an MSc Dance Science in 2018. She is now a Lecturer of Dance Science at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she had completed her MFA in Dance prior to studying at TL. Heidi was previously a research assistant at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and also worked in the Healthier Dancer Programme at One Dance UK. This experience coupled with her extensive background in professional ballet training has inspired Heidi’s teaching, which now focuses on promoting a holistic approach to healthy dance practice, centering around dancers as “artistic athletes”.
