Executive and Events Assistant – Part-time

About the role 

We are in search of an experienced Executive Assistant to provide invaluable support to our CEO and core executive team. Key responsibilities include helping in the coordination of the London Higher events programme, managing the CEO’s schedule, and organizing external meetings. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of executive assistant experience, demonstrating expert organisational skills and be confident managing a diverse and interesting workload.  

The post-holder will be required to work 21 hours (equal to 3 days) per week. London Higher encourages flexible working and the specific days for these hours are open for negotiation. We are open to accommodating various preferences, such as a candidate’s desire to work remotely for a portion of the week or to adjust hours during school term times and holidays. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Events programme support: Working with the CEO, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Communications’ team to deliver the London Higher major events programme by providing administrative and planning support and facilitation. 
  • Diary management: Maintaining the online diary and related administration for the CEO, and when required, other members of the senior management team. 
  • Drafting documents: Drafting correspondence and content for the CEO and wider executive team, and additional London Higher documents and communications, as required, including taking records of Heads of Institution discussions and other meetings as necessary.

  • Previous experience working as an Executive Assistant in a busy and dynamic organisation. 
  • Confident in regularly communicating over email, phone and in person; always conducting themselves in a professional manner. 
  • Have an aptitude for multi-tasking and be able to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-changing environment. 
  • Eager to develop new skills and learn about the higher education sector in England and, specifically London.
